Get Involved with a Community Fundraising Organization

As a not-for-profit organization, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta relies on support from our surrounding communities to help us fulfill crucial needs. For anyone passionate about supporting Children’s, we encourage you to explore our Friends groups—community fundraising organizations that provide opportunities to make a difference alongside your friends and neighbors. There are groups available for people of all ages who want to be change-makers, helping us in our efforts to build a better Georgia by providing the specialized healthcare every child deserves.

Friends groups plan and host all kinds of fundraisers that benefit programs like Children’s Camps and the Music Therapy and Artist-in-Residence Programs.

In addition to black-tie galas and golf tournaments, Friends groups drive the success of our annual holiday fundraisers like Heart Swap, Boos and Mailbox Brigade.

Please download our funding goals flyer for more information on our current goals and help spread the word about Friends. You can also follow Friends of Children's on Instagram.

Anyone is welcome to join a Friends Group!

The Friends Junior Committee (FJC) is a group of more than 150 young professionals in their 20s and 30s who host fundraising and social events that benefit Children’s. As part of this group, members have the opportunity to participate in special service projects inside and outside our three hospitals, including volunteering with patients and families. FJC raises funds each year to fulfill several crucial patient and family needs, such as family support services, primary care and research. Members of FJC donate their time, talents and ideas to help make a difference in the lives of Children’s patients and families. The FJC has it’s own board members and is sponsored by Audi Atlanta.

Kids for Kids encourages Friends members to host smaller fundraisers, such as lemonade stands or pool lap-a-thons that allow them to get their children involved. The Kids for Kids initiative engages children and teens in activities that teach the importance of community service and encourages lifelong volunteerism and philanthropy.

Children’s can supply QR codes, a branded bucket for collecting coins and donations, disposable banners or balloons upon request. There are also displays that can be downloaded and printed to show the impact of funds being raised.
